Description
The University of North Texas System seeks a qualified design professional to provide programming, architectural and engineering design, bidding support, and construction administration for phased renovations to Sycamore Hall, the General Academic Building, and the Language Building. The scope includes a full renovation of approximately 88,000 square feet in Sycamore Hall and reconfiguration of approximately 17,000 square feet in the General Academic Building and 11,000 square feet in the Language Building to accommodate occupant relocations. Work may include space reconfiguration, modernization of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, life-safety upgrades, accessibility and deferred-maintenance improvements, and exterior enhancements. The selected firm will develop design packages and cost estimates through design phases, support contractor and subcontractor bidding, and provide construction administration, including submittal and change review, site visits, project meetings, and closeout documentation. The response must include firm and team qualifications, resumes, relevant project experience, project approach, and a schedule. A VetHUB subcontracting plan is required with the response; the stated HUB subcontracting goal is 3.25%.
