Description
The City of Orange Cove is soliciting construction bids for turf restoration and tree planting at J.O. Eaton Memorial Park. The work includes mowing and preparing approximately 70,000 square feet of existing turf, sand leveling low areas, filling deeper depressions with sandy loam topsoil, fall/winter overseeding with perennial ryegrass, bermudagrass seeding during the May 1–June 15, 2027 window, and a 60-calendar-day turf maintenance period. The contractor must verify, adjust, and repair the existing irrigation system as needed; furnish and plant four 24-inch-box Chinese Pistache trees with irrigation, tree bubblers, double staking, mulch, and root barriers where required; protect existing trees and public access; and comply with California public-works requirements, prevailing wages, licensing, bonding, insurance, and Department of Industrial Relations registration. The engineer's estimate is approximately $75,000.
