Description
Pinellas County seeks a contractor to conduct an annual one-day curbside cleanup serving approximately 1,000 residential units across 11 subdivisions in the Largo Greater Ridgecrest Area. The scope includes collection and removal of household trash, non-masonry building materials, appliances, furniture, boxed or bagged loose items, loose metal, and tree or brush trimmings. Hazardous waste, including paint, oil, pool chemicals, flammable liquids, batteries, televisions, and computers, is excluded. The contractor must provide sufficient trucks and personnel to complete the event, with recommended deployment of four to six rear-loading vehicles and a front-loading vehicle for large items. The contractor must provide roll-off change-outs, remove all collected material on cleanup day, address late or dumped trash later that day or the next business day, and recheck streets after collection. A roll-off must be delivered to the County yard at 119th Street North in Largo before 4:00 p.m. on the Friday preceding each cleanup date. The initial 2026 event is recommended for November, with additional annual dates coordinated with the County. Disposal tipping fees are reimbursable at the applicable Pinellas County Waste-to-Energy facility rate, currently stated as $58.86 per ton.
