Description
Hillsborough County Public Schools is seeking qualified wireless communication providers, tower companies, or infrastructure firms to lease designated district-owned land, building space, rooftop areas, or existing vertical structures for new wireless communication facilities. The selected lessee may design, permit, construct, install, operate, maintain, modify, replace, and upgrade facilities such as stealth flagpole towers, monopoles, rooftop installations, small wireless facilities, antennas, fiber connections, equipment cabinets, shelters, backup power systems, utility connections, fencing, and related infrastructure. Towers up to 140 feet are permitted, and each site requires separate district approval. The lessee will be responsible for engineering, permitting, regulatory compliance, utilities, site access, safety, maintenance, inspections, restoration, and removal. Proposals must describe the proposed scope of work, implementation schedule, pricing structure based on the district’s share of annual gross revenue from subleases or licenses, and financial or other value provided to the district. The initial award term is 10 years, with up to three additional five-year renewal terms. The solicitation also requires proof of insurance, at least three completed business reference forms, a cover letter, qualifications summary, statement of work, pricing structure, and required certifications and forms.
