Description
Salt Lake County is soliciting proposals from qualified lobbying firms to represent the County before the Utah State Legislature, governmental agencies, quasi-political agencies, and other elected and appointed officials. Services will include legislative advocacy during General, Special, and Interim sessions; arranging and attending meetings with key decision-makers; communicating County positions; negotiating acceptable alternatives; and providing representation on other assigned issues or projects. Proposers must demonstrate knowledge of Utah's legislative process, administrative rules, local government issues, and Salt Lake County operations. The proposal must address qualifications, experience with three similar contracts, proposed approach, communication and authorization procedures, and conflicts of interest. The resulting contracts will have a one-year term with five additional one-year renewal options, and the County may award multiple contracts. Insurance requirements include workers' compensation, commercial general liability, professional liability, and commercial automobile liability coverage.
