Description
The State of Utah, through the Utah Bureau of Forensic Services, is seeking statements of qualifications from a company to provide a firearms and toolmark examination training program. The selected provider must supply qualified primary instructors who are forensic firearm and toolmark examiners with documented casework experience in an accredited forensic laboratory, incorporate the required curriculum topics, and have the capacity to train up to five analysts simultaneously at the bureau’s main laboratory. Training must begin after contract execution and issuance of a purchase order, no later than December 31, 2026, and must be completed within 12 months of commencement. The procurement is for professional services under Utah’s design professional services and consultants provisions; vendors must submit qualifications without pricing. The anticipated contract length is five years.
