Description
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is soliciting a contractor to establish firebreaks at the Kilohana Group Housing Site. Task One requires cutting grasses, weeds, shrubs, vines, and brush to an average height of six inches; removing smaller live trees at six inches above ground; trimming or removing branches from taller live trees to provide seven feet of clearance beneath canopies; removing dead trees; and removing trash and abandoned items from the firebreak areas. All resulting vegetation, tree cuttings, trash, and abandoned items must be transported off-site and disposed of in accordance with applicable county regulations, with the contractor responsible for disposal fees. The contract also includes up to three optional Task Two maintenance occurrences, authorized in writing by the Contracting Officer's Representative, to address regrowth and maintain compliant firebreaks. Quotes must provide separate fixed prices for Task One and each optional Task Two occurrence, along with relevant past-performance information for three projects completed within the past five years. Proposed specifications are limited to three pages using Times New Roman, 12-point font. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services, and provide a project manager and qualified personnel.
