Description
This Request for Quotation is restricted to approved companies eligible for call orders under the Rocky Mountain Restoration Project BPA. The Forest Service seeks fuels-reduction and stewardship work in the San Juan National Forest, including cutting and removing sawtimber-sized ponderosa pine and white fir, processing and stacking topwood, treating slash, and performing associated road maintenance. The mandatory work item covers approximately 167 acres of timber cutting and removal. Optional items cover approximately 207 additional acres of timber cutting and removal and processing and decking topwood across approximately 347 acres. Contractors must provide labor, equipment, supplies, supervision, transportation, permits, and related services; comply with designation-by-prescription, erosion-control, stream-protection, fire-prevention, and resource-protection requirements; and maintain specified forest roads before, during, and after hauling. The period of performance runs from award through November 30, 2029.
