Description
The City of Sacramento Fire Department is soliciting professional medical director services for its Emergency Medical Services Division. The selected firm must provide an individual for at least 24 hours per week to deliver direct and indirect medical oversight, clinical consultation, regulatory and clinical compliance, DEA-controlled-substance oversight, narcotics security and recordkeeping, quality assurance investigations, case reviews, EMS training, skills evaluation, fire station visits, and bi-monthly reporting. The scope also includes medical supervision and chart review for specialized programs such as the Street Overdose Response Team and Mobile Integrated Health advanced-provider program, support for EMS policies and continuous quality improvement initiatives, participation in advisory and other EMS meetings, and on-scene medical support when requested. Proposers must submit a one- to two-page project approach, resumes and applicable credentials for each proposed individual, and at least three relevant references. The proposed budget is $1,250,000, and the service period may extend up to five years.
