Description
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and California Correctional Health Care Services seek a contractor to provide radiation dosimetry services for dental operations. The scope includes whole-body radiation detection badges using film or optically stimulated luminescent technology, encasements, attachment clips, return envelopes, account maintenance, replacement dosimeters, shipping, exposure testing, and exposure reports. The contractor must provide consistent dosimeter technology throughout the contract, support x-ray, beta, and gamma exposure detection, test returned dosimeters within five business days, report positive exposure readings exceeding two millisieverts within 24 hours, provide exposure reports within 45 days, and maintain online report access. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with one optional one-year extension. Bidders must demonstrate three years of relevant experience, provide National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program and ISO 17025 certifications, submit three recent references, and meet the mandatory 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation requirement.
