Description
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District seeks a contractor to provide annual California-required inspections of cranes and hoists at Upper American River Project hydroelectric powerhouses and related facilities. Work must comply with California Code of Regulations Title 8, OSHA 9010, and other applicable codes. The contractor must provide licensed surveyors qualified for bridge, gantry, monorail, and jib cranes, and must hold the required California crane and derrick certification license. The scope includes furnishing water bags or concrete blocks for quadrennial proof-load tests, performing inspections on an as-needed basis through written task orders, and responding to inspection requests within five working days. The contract is non-exclusive and approximately five years in duration, with estimated surveyor quantities listed by contract year and payment based on actual work performed. Proposals must address mandatory qualifications, environmental sustainability, experience with electric utilities and public agencies, key personnel, responsiveness, commercial terms, and pricing.
