Description
Placer County Water Agency is soliciting bids for on-call dry-mix gunite installation throughout its Zone 1 and Zone 3 canal systems in Placer County. The work includes furnishing and installing canal gunite, including polypropylene-fiber-reinforced gunite, emergency-response work with four-hour notification, standard work with ten-calendar-day notification, crew standby for agency-caused delays, and payment for gunite delivered but not placed. The 2027 estimate identifies approximately 1,183 cubic yards across the two zones, including a $100,000 miscellaneous-work allowance. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, mixing and delivery systems, and experienced gunite personnel. Requirements include a minimum 825-cfm compressor, at least three barrel mixers per job site, dry-mix shotcreting, a minimum 4,000-psi 28-day compressive strength, test panels, quality-control testing, California contractor licensing, Department of Industrial Relations registration, prevailing-wage compliance, and specified insurance and bonding. The estimated maximum contract amount is $2,000,000. The initial contract term runs through December 31, 2027, with an agency option to extend through December 2028.
