Description
Washoe County Library System is soliciting proposals for dedicated synchronous Internet access with transport service at 11 library locations. Bidders must price the existing 1 Gbps service and proposed 1.5 Gbps and 2 Gbps options. Service must provide dedicated bandwidth with a committed information rate, include infrastructure terminating at each building’s demarcation point, avoid usage caps or throttling, and support SPI discount billing. Managed routers are not required. Services are needed effective July 1, 2027. Month-to-month and contracted offers will be considered; contracted providers are requested to provide 36-month and 60-month pricing, with bandwidth increases, early termination for closed locations, and no price increases during the contract term. Proposals must separately identify monthly recurring, non-recurring, and special construction charges, include the provider’s terms and conditions, and comply with applicable E-Rate and covered-equipment restrictions. Pricing for the existing 1 Gbps service is mandatory, and failure to meet the minimum bandwidth, dedicated-service, demarcation, SPI billing, or cost-identification requirements may result in disqualification.
