INVITATION TO BID TRUCKEE MEADOWS WATER AUTHORITY 6th Street Water Main Abandonment PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT NO. PWP #WA-2027-040 PROJECT SCOPE: Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the abandonment of 92 linear feet of 6-inch cast iron water main and removal of 14 linear feet of 6-inch transite water main within the project vicinity. Included is the installation of approximately 47 linear feet of new 6-inch restrained ductile iron pipe with vertical offsets, 24"x6" hot tap assembly (w/TMWA to perform the tap), fittings, and appurtenances. The project also includes surface restoration (temporary and permanent pavement patching) as a result of water main installation. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: There is no pre-bid conference and site visit. PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND BID SUBMITTAL: Copies of Bidding Documents consisting of the contract documents, specifications, and drawings may be obtained at Truckee Meadows Water Authority Procurement Services - Truckee Meadows Water Authority (tmwa.com). Sealed bids must be submitted electronically via the online bidding system (NGEM). Bids must be RECEIVED NOT LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. on October 27th, 2026. Bids received after the date and time set for receipt will be REJECTED. Facsimile and Hard Copy Bids will NOT be accepted. BID OPENING: There will not be a public bid opening as bids are opened electronically. Bid results and the bid tabulation will be posted on NGEM and bidders will be notified electronically of the results. Bids will be evaluated as prescribed in Nevada Revised Statute 338.147. Truckee Meadows Water Authority is soliciting a horizontal construction contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for abandoning 92 linear feet of 6-inch cast iron water main and removing 14 linear feet of 6-inch transite water main. The work includes installing approximately 47 linear feet of new 6-inch restrained ductile iron pipe with vertical offsets, a 24-inch-by-6-inch hot tap assembly, fittings, and related appurtenances; TMWA will perform the tap. The project also includes temporary and permanent pavement patching associated with the water main installation. The engineer’s estimate is $130,005 to $158,895. Bids must be submitted electronically through the NGEM system, with all required responses and attachments, a digital signature on the Response Submission Tab, and confirmation after submission. Partial bids will not be accepted.
