Description
Hampton City Schools is seeking one or more contractors to provide on-call, as-needed gymnasium and hardwood floor refinishing and refurbishing services. The scope includes screening and recoating, sanding and refinishing, floor repairs and replacement, court-line and logo painting, school emblem templates, lettering, and related repairs. Contractors must provide labor, tools, materials, equipment, applicable permits, site cleanup, and a generator for sanding equipment. Work must produce a like-new finish and comply with applicable VOC limits and Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association approval requirements. The contract is for one year, with four additional one-year renewal periods available by mutual agreement. Separate purchase orders and notices to proceed will be issued for individual projects, and the contractor must respond within 24 hours as needed. Multiple awards are permitted. The solicitation requires a contract bond in the amount of the contract, insurance coverage, certified minority- and woman-owned subcontracting participation, and submission of the required bid forms and supporting documentation. Addendum 1 states that no final list of schools has been confirmed and provides approximate gym and stage square footage for numerous Hampton City Schools facilities; bidders must acknowledge the addendum.
