Description
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District is soliciting proposals for FRA-required routine inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, minor maintenance, and non-emergency and emergency call-out services for railroad signal equipment supporting its Freight Division along the Brazos Junction Subdivision. The scope includes automatic grade-crossing warning systems, wayside fixed signals, signal plans, field programming documentation, troubleshooting, repairs, and required inspection and test records. Major repair and capital replacement work are excluded. The prime contractor must hold a valid California A-General Engineering Contractor's License and maintain active California Department of Industrial Relations registration. The contractor must provide 24/7/365 emergency-callout availability, qualified railroad signal personnel, Railroad Worker Protection training for onsite personnel, and compliance with FRA, CPUC, AREMA, California MUTCD, prevailing-wage, and manufacturer requirements. Pricing includes a fixed monthly fee for routine work and time-and-materials rates for call-out services; the agreement provides a three-year base term with two one-year options.
