Description
Polk County is seeking a contractor to demolish an approximately 1,690-square-foot single-family residence and remove associated concrete, slabs, footers, underground plumbing, fences, debris, and other man-made items on the property. The contractor must remove and properly dispose of the septic tank and drain field, leave the existing well in place, disconnect utilities, obtain required permits, use the wet-demolition method, clear and rake the lot, and provide clean fill as needed. The quote must include disposal of construction debris, tires, chemicals, and household hazardous waste at authorized facilities, with required landfill tickets and closeout documentation. The contractor must be properly licensed, comply with environmental and OSHA requirements, attend the mandatory site visit, and submit the completed County quotation forms. Subcontracting is permitted for portions of the work, but asbestos-containing-material removal must be performed by the prime contractor if applicable. The solicitation states that the structure does not contain asbestos based on the attached survey.
