Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide winter maintenance at the Visitors Center and Fiske Free Library. Work includes shoveling main walkways, sidewalks, secondary exits, and two stairways at the Visitors Center; salting or sanding walkways and stairs as needed; and responding to miscellaneous requests. Snow removal should generally be completed before 8:00 a.m. and, during normal business hours, should begin after approximately three inches of accumulation. Rock salt will be provided at no charge. The fee schedule requests hourly rates for the listed tasks. The intended term is one year, with up to two additional one-year renewal options. Compensation is capped at $7,000 per winter season; work must stop if the seasonal cap is reached unless the City authorizes otherwise in writing. Proposals must include a fee schedule, a certificate of insurance, and two references. The successful contractor must provide specified insurance coverage upon contract signing; this is a post-award requirement.
