Description
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is conducting market research for qualified general contractors capable of delivering a fixed-price, turnkey construction subcontract for an ISO 4/5 cleanroom inside the existing Cryomodule Repair and Maintenance Facility. The planned base scope includes fabrication and installation of cleanroom walls, ceilings, raised access flooring, HVAC and ULPA fan-filter units, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, communications, security, structural supports, testing, commissioning, certification, cleanup, and turnover documentation. The cleanroom is approximately 2,200 square feet, including approximately 1,100 square feet of ISO Class 4 space. An optional scope would provide and install an integrated ultra-pure water system, including water softening, activated-carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, electrodeionization, storage, distribution pumps, PVDF piping, controls, monitoring, and commissioning. The planned construction period is expected to run from notice to proceed in April 2027 through final completion in June 2028, with construction anticipated to begin in October 2027. Interested contractors are asked to submit company information, an authorized point of contact, and a statement of interest in receiving the future formal solicitation; pricing and proprietary information are not requested.
