Description
The City of Lafayette is soliciting proposals for a complete, turnkey replacement of the existing emergency generator and automatic transfer switch serving Fire Station #1. The work includes field verification, demolition and disposal of existing equipment, furnishing and installing a new outdoor emergency generator and ATS, related connections and accessories, permitting, startup, testing, commissioning, controls and alarm verification, load or load-bank testing, training, warranty documentation, and record drawings. The contractor must maintain fire-station operations and emergency response readiness to the greatest extent possible, coordinate outage windows, provide temporary-power and mitigation measures as needed, and protect adjacent structures, paving, utilities, and finishes. Proposals must address technical approach, equipment sizing and specifications, operational continuity, project scheduling, experience with comparable mission-critical facilities, at least three similar-project references, staffing, licensing and certifications, pricing, and required company information.
