Description
The District of North Cowichan’s Operations Department is seeking a qualified contractor to supply and install a new roof system at the Maple Bay Rowing Club. The work includes removal and replacement of existing roof assemblies with a two-ply SBS-modified bitumen membrane system, new insulation, metal flashings, building-envelope transitions, drains, downspouts, soffits, and related demolition, protection, access, waste disposal, and reinstatement work. Addendum 1 clarifies that the contractor must remove and reinstate the existing canopy, remove a wooden roof deck platform, replace the entire ground-floor soffit, accommodate existing services, and provide overhead protection for tenant access. The submission must include the completed Submission Form, pricing, a preliminary project schedule with major deliverables and a proposed completion date, RCABC accreditation evidence, and a 10% bid bond. The procurement also includes a separate price for a 10-year RCABC guarantee and an alternate price for using Soprema products instead of the specified Siplast products. The work is subject to the technical specifications, drawings, hazardous-materials requirements, warranties, and bonding provisions in the solicitation package.
