Description
The University of Massachusetts is soliciting proposals for postal services and related products for its Worcester campus. The scope includes presort mailing services; pickup of mail Monday through Friday during an approximately 3:30–5:00 p.m. window; metering of approximately 8,000–10,000 letters per week, including flats; postage optimization; and processing of applicable mail classes. The University will not consider an alternative model in which mail is submitted electronically to a vendor for printing, inserting, postage optimization, and USPS induction. The procurement also includes a primary postage-metering machine and a backup device, scales and screens, applicable software, and a cloud-based receiving and mailroom-tracking hub. The solution should support departmental chargebacks, cloud analytics, CSV or SFTP integration, approximately 15–20 users and 3–5 administrators, receiving handheld devices, implementation, onsite initial training for mailroom and receiving systems, and remote support. Lease options may be proposed if clearly itemized. The award may be split among presort mailing services, mailing equipment/software, and receiving/inbound tracking software. Proposals must include a technical proposal, pricing matrix, warranty and service-level information, references, required portal prerequisites, and insurance documentation.
