Description
The Worcester Housing Authority (WHA) is requesting proposals from qualified developers to serve as a development partner for the redevelopment of the Booth development. The selected partner will be responsible for the planning, financing, and construction of a new mixed-income housing development with a minimum of 200 units, of which 44 units must be affordable at 30% of Area Median Income (AMI) to replace existing units. The project aims to revitalize the existing site, which currently has electricity and has undergone remediation for contamination. The WHA prefers proposals that do not rely on Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) due to other ongoing projects. The development should include amenities such as a community room, community kitchen, and laundry facilities. The deadline for submissions has been extended to October 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
