Description
The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is soliciting bids from contractors pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highway Division in Highway Lighting for statewide preventative maintenance, repair, upgrading, and replacement of lighting systems on DCR parkways and roadways. The work must be completed within 1,095 calendar days after notice to proceed. Overtime, when authorized, is paid at 1.5 times the unit bid price for qualifying hours. The contract includes participation requirements of 6% for Minority Business Enterprises, 10% for Women Business Enterprises, and 3% for Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises, along with local workforce utilization goals of 15.3% minority and 6.9% women. A 5% bid deposit is required and may be provided as a bid bond, cash, certified check, or treasurer's or cashier's check. Addendum No. 1 must be acknowledged through Bid Express. The addendum clarifies conduit excavation, backfill and restoration requirements, overtime labor rates, and pole-foundation design responsibilities; no separate dimensions or drawings will be provided for Item 024-010.
