Description
The Town of Cary is seeking one or more qualified firms to prepare a comprehensive 25-year master plan for expanding the North Cary Water Reclamation Facility and to evaluate increasing its permitted capacity from 12.0 to 15.0 million gallons per day. The work includes data collection and review, facility capacity evaluation, hydraulic modeling, process modeling, performance assessment, re-rating feasibility analysis, alternatives analysis, planning-level capital cost estimates, and updates to the facility space plan. The selected firm will also prepare a re-rating technical memorandum with supporting calculations, modeling documentation, and exhibits; evaluate treatment, pumping, screening, grit and grease removal, biological treatment, clarification, filtration, disinfection, solids handling, and chemical-feed systems; and conduct stakeholder coordination, progress meetings, and technical workshops. The qualifications package is limited to 40 PDF sheets, with a separate hourly-rate file. Required content includes a cover letter, corporate background and similar experience, at least three references for comparable engineering master plan or re-rating work performed within the past 10 years, project understanding and approach, schedule, staffing, organizational structure, qualifications, certifications, and licenses.
