Description
The Steel Rivers Council of Governments is soliciting bids for the demolition and disposal of three residential structures at 112 Chalfont Street, 116 Regina Street, and 172 Frank Street in Whitaker Borough. The scope includes utility clearances and disconnections, demolition of the structures and foundations, removal and disposal of debris and hazardous materials, asbestos determination, removal and abatement, backfilling with suitable material, compaction, grading, placement of at least 10 inches of topsoil, seeding, erosion control, cleanup, and related restoration work. The contractor must obtain required permits, comply with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements and applicable federal, state, county, and local regulations, and complete the work within 45 consecutive calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The bid requires a 10 percent bid bond. The solicitation also requires qualification and compliance documentation, including affidavits, a qualification statement, M/W/DBE/VOSB solicitation and commitment information, and other project forms. Performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates, and a maintenance bond are required after award rather than with the bid.
