Description
The project involves replacing the library's HVAC system and modernizing its electrical system. Mechanical work includes installing a new heating boiler, AHU-1, exterior condensing units, hydronic piping, updated ductwork, and related equipment. Electrical work includes a modernized panelboard, equipment circuits, disconnects, and associated wiring. The bid includes a base scope and an alternate for rerouting the boiler flue and combustion-air duct through a newly constructed chase. Bidders must submit an Economic Sustainability Program plan, a City of Omaha Mechanical Contractor License, a subcontractor/supplier tabulation, a Certificate of Insurance, and the specified bid forms and disclosures. Bid security of 5% of the total bid is required when the bid is $50,000 or more; a copy must be uploaded with the bid, and the original must be delivered to the City Clerk within seven calendar days after closing. The apprenticeship incentive form is optional and applies only if the bidder seeks the incentive. Performance and payment bonds are required after award.
