Description
The City of Omaha seeks a contractor to monitor five Christmas tree collection sites, grind or chip collected trees into mulch no larger than two inches, and deliver the mulch to the City’s Oma-Gro compost facility. The contractor must remove plastic bags, stands, and other contaminants before processing, keep sites accessible, and remove litter and trash. Grinding is not permitted at the zoo site; trees from that site may be transported elsewhere for processing. The contractor must also provide a trash-disposal approach and select among the specified options in the electronic response. The bid is all-or-none and requires a lump-sum price. The contractor is to monitor the sites beginning December 25, 2026, and perform site services from December 26, 2026, through January 15, 2027. Daily site visits are required by 9:00 a.m.; on four specified high-traffic weekend days, the contractor must be present at the sites or traveling between them from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All mulch must be removed by 2:00 p.m. on January 15, 2027, or later if grinding is completed later. The response requires several completed forms, a current certificate of insurance, and electronic submission through the bid event.
