Description
The City of Council Bluffs is soliciting an all-or-nothing lump-sum bid from one contractor to construct a non-conditioned dry material storage building on an existing concrete foundation and floor slab at the Recreation Complex. The work includes reinforced CMU walls and piers; masonry reinforcement, sealants, precast caps, and water-repellent treatment; roof trusses, wood framing, fascia, cedar soffits, standing-seam metal roofing, gutters, and downspouts; three insulated steel overhead doors; an insulated hollow-metal personnel door and hardware; eight galvanized steel pipe bollards; structural steel at designated openings; and all related labor, materials, equipment, connections, and modifications. Bidders may also price three optional alternates involving replacement bollards, matching pier caps, and green glazed accent CMU. The existing Phase I footings and floor slab are excluded except for indicated connections and modifications. The work must be completed by December 31, 2027. A 10% bid security is required, and the successful contractor must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and insurance before performance. Required response materials include the Bidder Status Form, bid security documentation, Past Project Information form, and Title VI & EEOC Certificate of Compliance.
