Description
The Omaha Airport Authority is soliciting proposals for a firm to serve as a strategic broker and consultant for its employee health and welfare benefit programs. The scope covers medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, health savings account, flexible spending account, and related benefits for approximately 250 employees, including plan strategy, benchmarking, financial analysis, cost forecasting, renewal and marketing support, vendor negotiations, implementation, enrollment support, and ongoing account management. The selected firm must provide compliance and regulatory guidance for governmental, non-ERISA plans; support communications, wellness initiatives, employee education, and vendor oversight; and disclose compensation, commissions, incentives, revenue sharing, market-access limitations, and potential conflicts of interest. Proposals will be evaluated on experience, technical approach, governmental-plan expertise, references, cost transparency, compliance capabilities, and data privacy and cybersecurity practices. The agreement is expected to begin January 1, 2027, and continue through December 31, 2028, including planning for 2029 benefit renewals.
