Description
The City of Cincinnati is soliciting a contractor to demolish the single-family dwelling at 4212 Eastern Avenue and complete site restoration. The work includes removing the building and foundation to at least two feet below final grade; removing yard walks, steps, trash, rubbish, weeds, and brush; lawfully hauling demolition debris to an approved disposal site; backfilling the basement or crawl space with clean earth or limited rubble; grading the lot; repairing the public sidewalk; protecting adjoining property; and spreading seed and straw over clean earth. The contractor must obtain applicable permits, address asbestos or other hazardous materials as required, provide labor, materials, equipment, safety measures, and insurance, and comply with the City's demolition specifications. A pre-demolition site meeting and contract-compliance inspection are required. The bid requires a 100% performance bond, while a bid bond is expressly not required. The work must begin within 15 calendar days after notice to proceed and be completed within 30 calendar days after notice to proceed.
