Description
Schuylkill County is soliciting a single contractor to furnish all labor and materials for a CDBG-funded public works project in Reilly Township. The scope includes approximately 1,140 linear feet of 6-inch Class 52 ductile iron pipe waterline, approximately 60 linear feet of 3/4-inch copper service line, a trenchless service-line crossing, wet tapping, valves, fittings, fire hydrant assemblies, curb boxes and stops, trench and surface restoration, line painting, traffic maintenance, clearing and grubbing, compaction testing, and erosion and sediment controls. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, federal CDBG requirements, MBE/WBE and Section 3 requirements, Buy American provisions, and Pennsylvania public-works employment-verification requirements. A 10 percent bid security is required with the bid; the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract price. The estimated contract value is $300,000, and the work is to reach substantial completion within 240 days after contract time begins and final completion within 270 days.
