Description
This public Request for Proposals seeks a construction management/general construction contractor for a comprehensive water system project. The scope includes a new raw water intake pump station; process pumping, analytical instrumentation, and electrical, instrumentation, and control upgrades; a new raw water transmission pipeline and related civil works; upgrades to an existing raw water transfer pump station; and a new water treatment plant with site preparation, earthworks, a concrete potable water reservoir, and a custom steel building. The contractor must supply and install related civil, architectural, structural, process mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Additional responsibilities include system dormancy, programming, independent quality-control testing, field testing, pre-start-up and start-up activities, operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning, training, and warranty services. Two mandatory pre-proposal meetings are required during the RFP; further details are in the project instructions.
