Description
West Cocalico Township Authority is soliciting bids for a single-prime construction contract to replace approximately 790 existing water meters with new advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) meters across its service area. The work includes coordinating access with property owners, shutting down and restoring water service, removing existing meters, installing meters and associated piping, fittings, wiring, transponders, and temporary electrical grounding, configuring meters for AMI operation, and performing startup, testing, and operational verification. The contractor must provide customer outreach and appointment scheduling, a 24-hour customer service number with specified live-response coverage, installation management, qualified and properly licensed plumbing personnel, installation tracking and data management, photographs documenting existing and completed installations, and required project reporting. Owner-furnished Kamstrup flowIQ 2200 meters are identified, while the contractor supplies other materials and equipment needed for a complete installation. Pennsylvania prevailing-wage, employment-verification, steel-product, nondiscrimination, bonding, insurance, and other public-works requirements apply. The contract provides for substantial completion within 200 days and final completion within 230 days after the Contract Times commence.
