Description
The RTA seeks a contractor to provide labor, materials, equipment, surface preparation, and painting for designated interior and exterior areas at three occupied transit facilities. Work includes painting maintenance bays, vehicle storage areas, ceilings, structural steel, mechanical rooms, exposed piping, doors, frames, louvers, and bollards; applying industrial-grade protective coatings; and restoring pipe identification labels and flow markers. The contractor must coordinate work around active transit operations, protect vehicles and facility equipment, and comply with applicable requirements for lead-containing paint at one facility. Bidders must document at least five years of relevant commercial and industrial painting experience and provide five project references using the supplied reference form. The bid package also requires the listed certifications and affidavits, a certificate of good standing, a SAM.gov exclusions screenshot, subcontractor information, applicable DBE documentation, and bid security. The apparent award basis is the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The solicitation gives an engineer’s estimate of $1,550,000.
