Description

The County of Maui is soliciting bids for construction of a new apparatus bay addition at the Kula Fire Station. The project includes a single-story apparatus bay with a concrete slab on grade, CMU walls, a wood truss roof with asphalt shingles, demolition and replacement of pavement, a concrete driveway and sidewalks, grading, utility improvements, and electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. The plans also include metal lockers, accessible locker modifications, automatic overhead doors, parking and site improvements, and fire-station-related electrical systems. Addendum No. 3 revises the bid opening date to September 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The proposal must be downloaded, completed, signed, and uploaded with the bid, along with a 5% bid bond, bid breakdown, subcontractor list, state-resident certification, and acknowledgments of issued addenda. The facility must remain operational 24/7 without construction impacts. Bidders must be licensed under Chapter 444, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and comply with applicable prevailing-wage requirements. The project is to be completed within 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
