Description
The County of Maui is soliciting one new, current-year, undemonstrated 40-ton tandem-axle tilt-deck equipment trailer for its Parks and Recreation Maintenance Division. The trailer must meet detailed specifications, including a minimum 40,000-pound GVWR, 102-inch deck width, minimum 24-foot tilt deck, hydraulic cushion cylinders, tandem axles, air brakes with ABS, nine wheels and tires including a spare, pintle hitch, toolbox, safety chains, LED lighting, tie-down rings, white polyurethane finish, and protection against salt spray during shipping. The successful bidder must deliver the trailer fully assembled, registered, operational, and with required fluids, and must provide parts and repair manuals, manufacturer warranty documentation, detailed drawings, completed technical questionnaire, and warranty information with the bid. A factory-authorized or designated service and repair facility must be located on Maui, with a confirming letter required if the bidder does not operate its own facility there. Bids are awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder based on the lowest net total outright purchase price. Bid and performance bonds are expressly not required.
