Description
The County of Maui is soliciting one new, current-production, self-propelled ride-on thermoplastic ribbon extrusion applicator for detail markings, legends, symbols, crosswalks, and short-line striping. The specified equipment must include left-hand drive and left-side application, a minimum 400-pound heated thermoplastic tank, variable-speed material pump, automatic adjustable die widths of 4, 6, 10, and 12 inches, dual-compartment glass-bead hopper with double-drop capability, electronic skip-line system, laser guidance, safety lighting and strobes, and required accessories and safety equipment. The pre-melting kettle is excluded from the base bid. The base bid must include delivery fully assembled, serviced, operational, and ready for use; start-up inspection and demonstration; one year of high-wear and consumable parts; manufacturer warranty documentation; operator and repair/parts manuals; a full-day factory-authorized training session; and a written list of proposed consumable parts. Bidders must complete the offer form and questionnaire, provide manufacturer product literature, technical specifications, standard-equipment details, and any exceptions. A factory-authorized service facility on Maui is required, with a designated Maui repair facility and confirmation letter permitted when the bidder lacks its own facility. A separately priced right-hand-drive/right-side-application option is also requested.
