Description
The County of Maui Department of Fire and Public Safety is soliciting a contractor under a single fixed-price contract to replace the existing 1,000-gallon septic tank at the Makawao Fire Station with a new 1,500-gallon concrete septic tank. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, services, and transportation; pumping and disposing of existing tank liquids and solids; disconnecting and reconnecting piping; excavation, demolition, trenching, backfilling, concrete work, sanitary sewerage work, and site restoration. The project must be completed within 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must inspect the site, submit a completed and signed proposal, bid breakdown, subcontractor listing, bid bond, and any applicable apprenticeship-program preference form through the designated electronic procurement system. The solicitation also requires compliance with specified bonding, insurance, tax-clearance, licensing, prevailing-wage, safety, environmental, and Hawaii-resident workforce requirements.
