Description
The County of Maui Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for Honokolani Street drainage repairs, Job No. 24-45. The work includes clearing and grubbing; removal of existing pavement, driveways, drain lines, concrete and rock walls, and headwalls; construction of drain lines, grated drain inlets, a storm drain manhole, a concrete headwall, and reinforced concrete components; excavation, grading, asphalt and concrete pavement repairs, riprap, pavement markings, traffic control, landscaping, and mobilization. The project also requires temporary water-pollution, dust, and erosion controls, including a site-specific Best Management Practices plan, and archaeological monitoring during ground-disturbing activities. The proposal package must be completed, signed, and submitted with a bid bond. The specifications state that a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid is required for proposals of $25,000 or more. The project has a completion time of 120 working days from the date in the Notice to Proceed. The contractor must provide required insurance, including workers' compensation, auto liability, general liability, and builders-risk coverage, and must comply with applicable licensing, prevailing-wage, safety, resident-workforce, and subcontractor-listing requirements.
