Description
The Department of War (DOW) is soliciting proposals for the fiscal year 2026 Joint Warfighter Medical Research Program (JWMRP) Military Medical Research and Development Award (MMRDA). This program aims to fund the continuation of DOW-funded research and development efforts that address high-priority medical requirements for Service Members and other Military Health System beneficiaries. The MMRDA supports a wide range of projects, including late-stage preclinical studies, technology development, and translational and clinical research, relevant to the FY26 JWMRP focus areas. To be eligible, applicants must have previously received DOW core or Congressional Special Interest funding. A specific option, MMRDA-Clinical Research or Clinical Trial Option (MMRDA-CRCTO), is available for research involving human subjects, samples, or data. The program expects to fund approximately two MMRDA awards with a total cost cap of $1.4 million each, and two MMRDA-CRCTO awards with a total cost cap of $3.0 million each. The maximum period of performance for awards is three years.
