Description
Granite School District is soliciting bids from licensed General Engineering Contractors (E100) or Landscape/Recreation Contractors (S330) to furnish and install a complete automatic irrigation system at West Kearns Elementary School. The work includes selective demolition and abandonment of existing irrigation components; new irrigation mainlines, laterals, heads, valves, controls, sensors, backflow prevention, wiring, and related appurtenances; a new irrigation pump; and new electrical service for the pump and controls. The project includes two phases, with Phase 1 providing a fully functional turnkey system and Phase 2 completing the remaining site installation and integrating both phases. The contractor must provide programming, commissioning, training, testing, maintenance of existing landscaping during construction, restoration of damaged improvements, waste disposal, record drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranties. A full-time site superintendent is required, and bidders must submit project experience and subcontractor information. The award is anticipated to be made to the lowest-cost responsive and responsible bidder, subject to board approval.
