Description
Salt Lake County is soliciting a contractor to renovate an existing building into a new Library Operations Building. The scope includes selective demolition, structural and architectural modifications, roofing, exterior refurbishment alternatives, interior finishes, doors and hardware, loading dock work, elevators, and related building improvements. The project also includes modifications and installation of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, audiovisual, access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, fire suppression, and other building systems. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, commissioning, closeout documentation, and required coordination with the County and design team. The contract documents specify a 273-calendar-day completion period after notice to proceed, a $1,200-per-calendar-day liquidated-damages charge, a Utah B-100 contractor license, a 5 percent bid bond, and payment and performance bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon award.
