Description
The City of Piqua is soliciting a lump-sum bid for the complete furnishing and installation of one 26-foot by 7-foot horizontal automated security gate at the City of Piqua Public Works Department. The scope includes the gate operator, flashing warning strobe, safety sensors, free-exit loops, controls, wiring, hardware, a programmable open-position feature, an HID card reader, a long-range vehicle access reader, 50 vehicle access tags, and a wireless receiver for mobile or compatible-device access. The contractor must program and test the access-control system and provide a complete operational installation. The work also includes four protective bollards, two gate posts, connections to the existing chain-link fence, demolition and site preparation, disposal and restoration, electrical connections from the City-provided 120-volt circuit, coordination of the concrete pad, permits, cleanup, testing, final demonstration, and correction of deficiencies. Bidders must submit the completed City bid form, descriptive specifications and warranty information, references, the Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Certification, and the Drug-Free Workplace Compliance Affidavit. The project must be completed by December 15, 2026; a mandatory pre-bid meeting is required, and the bid requires a signed original plus one copy.
