The Village of Hempstead Housing Authority is soliciting sealed bids from licensed fire detection and alarm contractors for the removal and replacement of the existing fire detection and alarm system at Totten Towers Residential Building. Plans and specifications will be available beginning October 6, 2026, and construction documents may be requested from the housing authority’s administrative office or by email. A mandatory pre-bid walk-through is scheduled at Totten Towers. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Fire Alarm System Replacement Totten Houses Sealed Bid” and will be publicly opened on November 9, 2026. Minority-, women-owned, and Section 3 business enterprises are encouraged to apply.
