Description
The City of Inglewood is soliciting bids for the removal and disposal of 34 existing steel window frame assemblies, associated glazing, security bars, anchorage, sealants, trim, and accessories, followed by the furnishing and installation of 34 new aluminum storefront window systems. The new systems must include thermally improved dark-bronze aluminum framing, insulated Low-E glazing, anti-graffiti film, flashing, sealants, insulation, anchors, fasteners, trim, and related accessories, while preserving the building's historic architectural character and complying with applicable building, safety, glazing, energy, and historic-preservation requirements. The scope also includes removal and replacement of eight door lites, hazardous-materials testing for asbestos and lead, demolition-debris disposal, field verification, shop drawings and product submittals, coordination around occupied operations, permits and inspections, cleanup, and required warranties. Bidders must hold California B-General Building and C-17 Glazing licenses, have at least five years of storefront-window installation experience, and have completed at least three similar projects in occupied public buildings. The work must be completed within 180 working days from the contract's effective date.
