Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting a single award for 24-hour monitoring of the existing fire and security alarm systems through a UL-listed central monitoring station at its Madera Area Office. The contractor must maintain UL certification in accordance with NFPA 72, replace system batteries annually, document equipment make, model, and serial numbers, and coordinate any required panic-alarm repairs. Activation fees, labor, materials, travel, and related costs must be included in the quoted rates. The contractor must perform annual inspections and testing of all system devices, including smoke detectors, manual pull stations, heat detectors, notification devices, control panels, sensors, and battery backup, and provide test results to CHP representatives. Bidders must hold the specified business, environmental, disposal, and applicable motor-carrier permits, possess UL certification, perform at least 75% of the work themselves, and submit three similar-service client references from the past five years. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost.
