Description
The U.S. Department of State is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation for complete replacement of the outdated fire alarm panel and alarm system at the Curtius Annex, including extension of coverage to the workshop area. The contractor must provide planning and design, materials, cable and conduit installation, removal of the existing system, temporary-system setup as needed, installation of detectors, sirens, control equipment, alarm transmission components, and final testing and expert acceptance. The system must integrate with existing infrastructure and comply with applicable Department of State requirements, German standards including DIN 0833-2 and DIN 14675, MLAR, and local codes. Hekatron is the preferred manufacturer. The technical offer must include a management plan, strategic execution plan, staffing information, quality-assurance procedures, corporate experience and references, and a Combating Trafficking in Persons compliance plan. The solicitation requires relevant certifications, including BHE certification and valid VdS approval as an approved installer of intrusion and fire alarm systems. The contract period of performance is 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with installation and labor generally scheduled during weekday hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
