The Department of the Air Force, through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, is soliciting offers for the supply and delivery of 200 high-performance ergonomic task chairs. The chairs must feature mesh seat and back, be available in three sizes (small, medium, large), and meet specific dimensional and adjustment requirements. The basis of design is the Herman Miller Aeron chair, with salient characteristics including synchronous tilt, adjustable tension, PostureFit SL sacral support, fully adjustable arms, and a 5-star swivel base with carpet casters. Chairs must be warrantied for 24/7 use for a minimum of 12 years and meet environmental certifications such as Cradle to Cradle Silver, BIFMA Level 3, and SCS Indoor Advantage Gold. The contractor is responsible for delivering the chairs, fully assembled and in boxes, to Building 867 Warehouse at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, within 60 days of contract award. The solicitation is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products, with award based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Offerors must submit a technical proposal demonstrating compliance with the Statement of Work and a price proposal. The contract will be firm-fixed-price, and the period of performance is 60 days after award.
