Description
Sparta Township seeks a part-time Technical Assistant for its customer-service-oriented Construction Department and Construction Code Enforcement Division. The position requires two to three years of experience in construction code enforcement, a valid New Jersey Technical Assistant Certificate, and New Jersey residency. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying local ordinances, responding to Open Public Records Act requests, preparing daily deposits, producing necessary reports, and using Microsoft Word, Excel, and, preferably, Spatial Data Logic. The position is up to 28 hours per week, with a stated salary range of $22 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
